A contest for friends... If Eurovision could unite a continent through song, then maybe we could unite a group of internet friends in the same way and have a hell of a lot of fun in the process. And so the escChat.com Song Contest was born! The participants all invented countries and picked songs to share and vote for their favourites by the traditional Eurovision manner of 12 points, 10 points, 8 points and so on. And we all have to start somewhere, so here we go with Edition 1. It's The Beginning!
Ten participants elected to enter the first edition. They voted for their top 7 by skipping 3 points, 5 points and 7 points. The contest was Jonny's idea, so his country - Black Daisystan - was duly elected as the host for the inaugural edition, with a plan to allow the winner of this edition to host the next one.
