Round Two! The first contest was a success so here we are again! Black Daisystan reprises the role of host as with the 1st Edition of the escChat.com Song Contest. 16 participants entered songs this time. That's a rise of more than 50% on the first edition! So with more songs and more points on offer, the contest is getting Bigger and Better!
Ishtaristan should have been the host (as a result of winning the previous edition) but was unable to do so due to other commitments and so their delegation asked Black Daisystan to do it again - which was agreed to. This decision was unanimously supported in recognition of Black Daisystan's fine work when hosting the previous edition.
Due to an increase in participants, voting in this contest used the more traditional points allocation system of voting for the top 10 using the Eurovision points method, rather than the top 7 system used in the first edition. This included the 3, 5 and 7 points that were skipped in the previous edition. All editions thereafter also used the top 10 method.
